Slide Container duration for each slide

Hi there

Is it possible to set different durations for slides within Slide Container Element?

For example, I would like to show slide A 2,5 sek and slide B 5 sek.

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hi Felix,

Unfortunately, that is not possible to set different Duration for different slides.

Thanks

Hi Tristup

Thank you very much for your reply. Is it possible to set the fading transition from one slide to the next without fading into white? In this case I could insert a third slide whith the same image as the 2nd. This has the effect, the 2nd image is shown doubble the time as the first.

But unfortunately, at the moment there is also a transition visible, even when it is the same image in two slides:

Thanks again for your help!

Felix

Hi Felix,

You can add the effects individually to the slides if you have added those statically. If you have used Looper to show the slides, then it is not possible.

Thanks

Hi Tristup

Thank you very much for your reply. I have set to “effect” but there is no difference. Where can I see if I use Looper?

Thanks again for your help!

Felix

Hello Felix,

Click the Slider Container element or parent DIV container element and find the “Customize” tab. That is where you can find if you have used a Looper. You can easily spot it also if you are only having 1 slide element but then in the preview or live view of the page, there are more slides displaying.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ruenel

Thank you very much for your reply and help. I don’t use Looper Provider. But I have checked out the effects and there is no fading transition, which I could customize.

Maybe I didn’t explain good enough, what is my problem; All I need is a fade transition from one image to the next, without dipping into white. To show the second image double the time as the first, I have duplicated this slide, so it is shown twice. But because the transition dips into white, there is a white flash between the 2nd and 3rd slide, see first slider on this page:

I can set the transition to “none” (see 2nd slider on this page) but it looks nicer with a fade-transition.

Is there any possibility to set the transition to fade, but just fading one image into the other, without dipping into white inbetween?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hey Felix,

Try the Effect for Entrance and Exit. It works on my end.

Hope that helps.

Hi Christian

Thank you very much for your reply and the sugestion. I have already tried setting the effect for entrance and exit but it still dips into white. Where do I have to conigurate the effect which is applied for the transition? Because in the effect settings, I don’t see a fading transition, only filters like “blur” etc. and transformations like “move”, “rotate” etc.

Thanks again for your help!

Felix

Hey Felix,

The setup in my screenshot is just the default Slider (Stacked). There are no special effects applied. In fact, even the Fade (crossfade) option works. Please try the following steps:

  1. Add a Slider (Stacked) element to your page
  2. Change the Text element in the Slider with an Image element.
  3. Only set the Entrance and Exit to Fade or Effect.

If that still doesn’t help, please give us access to your site.

Thanks.

Hi Christian

Thank you very much for your help. I have tried following your steps but the result is still the same. The slides dip ino white when fading to the next image (see first slider on this page between slide 2 and 3, where it is the same image in both slides):

I am not shure if I have explained the problem clear enough; Slide 2 and 3 have the same image, so this image will display doubble the time as slide 1. But because of the fade-transition dipping into white also between slide 2 and 3, there is a white flash visible between these slides. This should not be the case. Is there a other fade transition effect than “crossfade”, e.g. only “fade”?

Thanks again for looking into this anf for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hey Felix,

Your slider is cross-fading and not fading to white completely before the next slide shows up. I’ve changed the transition of the slider to 5000 so I could capture the cross-fading (see screenshot below). If the slider fades to white completely, the images won’t look merged.

image

In case what you mean is you don’t like the white, you can change the Content Wrapper background to pure black meaning there’s should not be a transparency.

image

image

That will have more merging effect so you barely see the transition in your duplicated slide with the same image. You will really see a bit of fade transition. That cannot be avoided.

image

That’s the only “image merge” option available.

Hope that helps.

Hi Christian

Thank you very much for your reply and the screenshots.

I would like to merge one image to the next without any dipping into a color, wether white no black. Is it not possible to fade one image into the other with leaving slide 1 at 100% at the end (no fading into white) and fading slide 2 from 0% to 100% over slide 1?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hey Felix,

That is not possible.

Hi Christian

Ok, thanks anyway for your support!
