Site Max Width (px) rounds up 1024px to 1020px

WordPress: v4.9.2
Pro: v1.2.7

I originally chose 1200px for the Site Max Width, but after several pages, I begin to realize that a shorter width will be better, especially as I’m planning to have square Flex Boxes. Basically, the shorter the Site Max Width, the shorter the square box, and the shorter the height of the box, allowing more content to be exposed on the screen. This is if I want to keep things simple without setting additional container width limits for a narrower container than the Site Max Width.

Now, I have changed the Site Max Width from 1200px to 1024px and for some reason after saving it rounds it up the 1020px, instead of the 1024px, which apparently 1020px is better to divide in thirds. Is this because I’m using thirds in my row division in some areas of the web site?

I have no problem using 1020px if this is an automatic feature, that calculates a better Site Max Width based on your existing content. It is always better to know if these irregularities are hidden features without a feedback explanation, or a bug that may create issues down the line.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing around! This looks like a bug to me and looks like it is rounding off to the nearest 10, I checked in my local setup and it does show 1020px if you save 1024px but behind the scenes it is using 1024px correctly so nothing to worry about. If your check it via Appearance > Theme Options you’ll see the correct value i.e 1024px.

I’ll add it to our issue tracker.

Thanks!
