Site loads slow with Essential Grid plugin & Slider Revolution has error when EG is activated

My website is loading quite slow when I use the Essential Grid plugin and I get an error on my Slider Revolution slide that reads “vimeo Api could not be loaded! Please check and renew SSL Certificate.”

I don’t believe it is the SSL Certificate. Here is my newly discovered reason. When I turn off the Essential Grid plugin, the error message does not appear in the Slider Revolution slide. AND the website loads much faster.

SO MUCH FASTER.

But I would like to continue to use Essential Grid with Slider Revolution. What can I do to avoid the error in Slider Revolution AND accelerate the loading time using Essential Grid? I have already applied the suggestions from this link… https://www.themepunch.com/essgrid-doc/optimization/

But it really does not help. The site stalls for about 30-seconds before loading with the error message in Slider Revolution. (It is visible in Safari)

I checked your site but I see no error. Have you fixed the issue?

Regarding the performance, it could be because of the connection to Vimeo and it maybe waits before it returns the error you saw. On my end, your site loaded fast because there’s no problem with the connection.

Would you mind testing your site using a:

• different browsers like Chrome. If your site works at this stage, please give us the OS name and version and Safari version
• other computers. If your site works, there could be something on your computer, probably another software that affects the loading of Vimeo API. Regretfully, you will need to consult with an IT person as this is outside our control.
• different internet connection. At this stage, your ISP could be having trouble with connecting to Vimeo’s servers. You need to contact your ISP at this point.

No, the issue has not been resolved on the site. The issue can be seen only in Safari (both desktop/mobile).

I have an alternative solution. When I use The Grid (instead of Essential Grid) my site loads faster and does not display the error message on the Slider Revolution Slider (in Safari).

But there seems to be something wrong with The Grid plugin on the backend. I cannot view or change the skins. It looks goofy. Also, I can not use the preview button on the backend to view the grid.

If I could finish recreating my grids with The Grid, then I could speed up my site and automatically remove the error message that appears in Slider Revolution.

May I know the Safari version you’re in? It could be a Safari bug as I’m recently seeing similar issue but we can’t reproduce on our end. I also recommend clearing your Safari cache in case it’s still loading the outdated files.

Then please provide your admin login credentials in the secure note for further testing.

I am using Mojave 10.14.6 with Safari 13.0.2. Yes, I have cleared the cache on my computer and on the server multiple times.

Thanks, I checked and that issue is not just happening on Safari but also on other browsers. The error said $grid_skins.html(...).find(...).The_Grid is not a function, which probably means there is a conflict. I like to do the troubleshooting but it’s live site and has multiple sites within it, so I can’t just go ahead and disable any.

Please backup your site/sites first and do the plugin test. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If it’s still the same, then please confirm if we’re okay to do the plugin conflict test and by disabling some features and functions. Given that you already have a full backup of your site/sites.
