Hello Wordpress Wizards,

All hell has broken loose on one of my X theme websites. First, cornerstone stopped working and the front end of the website was just displaying strings of cornerstone code and now this…

Please assist. Need to get the website back up and running asap. You will likely have to enter through ftp to see what is causing the issues as I can’t get in to site at all through smokedbysteve.com/wp-admin.

Thank you for writing in, but the FTP credentials provided did not work, please check.

The ftp access for this site sometimes has issues…

If using filezilla, I had to access it via File > Site Manager and selecting Only use plain ftp in the encryption setting.

Hi Nathan,

It’s up now, seems to be a permission issue.

All of your plugins (except Cornerstone) might have deactivated now because of the test process, please activate those as I can’t login to admin dashboard with the /wp-admin credentials provided above.

Thanks so much! The site is only making use of the cornerstone plugin so reactivating the others won’t be necessary.

Do you know what could have caused that number to change? Might there be some malware on the site?
