Site background wont change even with CSS

I have no idea why… Please help.

Thanks for writing in!

You are using Ethos stack. The background color can be changed in Cornerstone > Theme Options > Layout and Design > Background Color.

Make sure to temporarily disable all you caching plugin while troubleshooting. For more details, kindly check this out:

I know this already lol, I said going there and doing it via CSS like

.x-root {
background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);
}

This does nothing, neither way changes the color. I already had it set how I wanted it and it randomly and abruptly just broke some how thats why I am asking you take a look.

I have learned my Litespeed Cache, I have cleared Cache in Cornerstone and in my browser. No change, I have removed all CSS and no change, I have used the suggested options you provided and no change. I have also disabled all plugins, no change, I’m lost and disappointed in my progress. I hope you can assist.

I also updated to the newest version.

It was a plug-in of course lol… I had much better questions to ask but when the site breaks I get scared so thank you for working with me and for your time as it is appreciated.
