Site back end running very slow; front end fine

Hi. The back end of my site is running very slowly and I’d like some help figuring out why. I’ve trimmed the overall wp-content size by half, and according to PageSpeed, the front end is now running really fast (scoring a 94 for desktop). So it appears image size isn’t the issue.

On the back end, I’ve increased PHP input time to 1000, max execution time to 0 (no limit), filesize limit to 1000M. That made things a bit faster, but I’m still getting 5-7 seconds load time especially for Products. Very frustrating.

Any ideas? I’ll add credentials below.

Hi Matt,

I have checked the WordPress admin dashboard of your website, but it is running perfectly fine. Can you please provide any screen-capturing video that explains the problem? I would also suggest you activate any default theme and check if you face the same problem or not. If yes, there might be something else that is the reason behind your problem.
I would suggest you contact your Hosting Service provider on this.

Thanks

I’m surprised you’re not seeing any slowness on the backend. When I open > Products and then click on one item (Farmer’s Roma Tomato Sauce Kit) to edit it, attached is the Performance profile. You can see from takes nearly 18 seconds from click to start loading the page, and then an addition 2-3 to fully load.

When you do the same, how fast is it for you?

Hi Matt,

As I suggested before, can you please check by activating the default theme to recognize that our theme is the reason behind your problem? If not, you can contact your Hosting Service provider on this to provide more insights.

Thanks
