Single post template assignment issues

Hi,
I have two main types of posts in my site, Blog posts and Newsletter posts. I can assign the Blog posts to a single-layout without issues. However when I then try to assign the Newsletter-single template by selecting post category - Newsletter , the newsletter post pages still use the blog-single template. I have set the Blog posts to 0 and the newsletter posts to -1 and still nothing.

Hi David,

The Post category pages are Archive pages, if you are assigning the Single Page layout to it, that might be assigning to the Single Posts which is having that specific category only. If that is what you are trying but not working, please provide login credentials into the secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
