Single.php Custom Post Template not firing in Pro Builder - Layout instead?

Hi folks,

For one of my client’s sites, I built a very simple Custom Post Template for Single posts—basically Blank - Header, Footer. With the big Pro update (I assume), they’re now seeing the blog template on the backend, which is annoying. (Template fires on the front end).

Frontend

Is this an easy functions.php change? or should I rebuild the post template with a very light Layout—i.e., leave it essentially blank? They’re a creative agency so there’ll be very little that stays the same from post to post.

Thanks!

Hi @lukefinsaas,

Thanks for reaching out.
If you have modified the Single.php, that might be the reason behind your issue. I would suggest you use the Layout Builder to build a template for Single posts and assign it to all singular posts.
If you are already using that and getting the issue there might some different reason behind it. I have tried to replicate the issue mentioned and described in the screenshot, but didn’t find that. And it will be very difficult to recognize the reason without investigating through the admin dashboard. I would suggest you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
