Single Image element causing issues when animation enabled

We have a few pages using the Single Image element, where a simple SlideinAndDown animation is enabled, the image will not display at all – disabling the animation will allow the image to display.

Are there any known conflicts related to this? Wanted to ask before starting the iterative plugin enabled/disable process to isolate.

Hi There,

Thank you for writing in, no there is no report in regards to what you describe. Although we’ve seen this kind of issue before, its either the Animation Offset value is too much, a plugin conflict, or column that has the fade in effect is in the bottom (with too short of a footer) and no room to scroll.

You can do a plugin test by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Took me some time to get back to this – sorry!

Since I have this issue happening on both production and staging, I was able to disable all plugins on stage except for wp-bakery, removed all inline css for the page, and the issue is still occuring – no images show up with css animation enabled. If I disabled the animation, images show correctly. Does not seem to matter which of the animations I enable – have tested several, and they all appear to do the same.

Should I raise this with the WP Bakery folks as well/ instead?

Hello There,

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 2.1.6
  • WP Bakery 5.4.7

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-

To better assist you with this issue, please provide us the url of the site in questioned.

Thanks.

Both updated to latest, and cache cleared, but same issue.

As noted previously, this is our staging site, which is IP whitelisted. If we disable this to allow your team access, we need to have a time window to allow this to ensure it is re-enabled in a timely manner. Please let me know when you plan on doing any direct investigation of the site, and I can disabled for that time window.

Hi There,

Regretfully we can not provide an exact timeframe on when your thread gets to the top and being handled. Since we have a plenty of tickets now, it would take 4 - 8 hours before a ticket get to the top from the last reply of the user.

Thanks,

Ok thanks!

Hi There,

Try turning off the X Integration under WPBakery Page Builder > X Integration, Also can you do a test if the image animation works on other pages?

Let us know how it goes,

X Integration was not enabled, and enabling it (on stage) breaks many things.

Have tried animation on other pages – works sometimes, others does not work. Very inconsistent.

Hi There,

Is there a chance you have a caching/minifier/optimizer features on your site? If so, please Clear and Deactivate those for a while and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks,

**** Please read the ticket comments completely as you hand off between support team members — we clearly stated when and for how long we allowed access to the site. If you are retrying without telling us, it will fail — per the clear notes in the ticket.

I opened a parallel ticket with WP Bakery, and they (and I) have confirmed that:

The Issue does not occur with all Plugins disabled, except WP Bakery, and the default theme enabled
The issue does not occur with all Plugins disabled, except WP Bakery, and the parent Pro theme enabled
The issue does occur with all Plugins disabled, except WP Bakery, and the child Pro theme enabled.

Assuming something within the child theme, we have disabled all custom footer/header/function.php configs, as well as all custom (sitewide) css, and the issue still exists.

Also tried changing the template, rolling through all provided Pro templates (issue still occured), but when using our own custom template (Aerospike blank - no container), it does NOT occur.

(Yes – all testing done using cleared cache in private browsing).

This would seem to point to a conflict with the Pro provided templates.

Please advise.

Hi,

We have recently release an update for Visual Composer. Can you please update your VC plugin to V5.5.1
and see if that fixes the issue.

If that doesn’t help, please provide us FTP Access to your staging in Secure Note. We need to check your child theme files as the issue only occurs when the child theme is enabled.

Thanks

Will try the update, but be advised that we already updated (within this ticket) based on Theme.co support recommendation, with no fix.

Also, you need to quality the last statement:" as the issue only occurs when the child theme is enabled" is only partially correct. As I noted, I already omitted the function/header/footer.php files (ie moved them, so that the parent theme copy (unmodified) was used), as well as the global css, which is most of the child theme, except for … custom templates… the custom templates are not having the issue, but your templates as provided and unmodified with the theme are having the issue.

Hi there,

Would you mind providing your network admin as well? The provided credentials is too restricted, I can’t clear cache nor check the child theme. Cache is not only for browsers, server side uses cache too and it’s a plugin in your case. Using no-cache browser has no effect if the server still serves cache.

I’ll do further checking once the network admin credentials are provided. And as Paule requested, FTP credentials as well.

Thanks!

We were able to isolate this to some mods made to the Provided template files under the Child theme. Changes were modified and now the animation is working as expect. You can close this ticket.

Hey There,

We are just glad that you have figured it out a way to correct the said issue.
Thanks for letting us know!

Best Regards.
