Single CPT Layout broken after update to Pro 6.1.2

After updating from Pro 5.1.5 to 6.1.2 the layout created for on of our CPTs is not being applied to single posts. When checking it out in the layout builder, it is listed, but when trying to edit, it loads up blank! See screenshot.

I do have a clone of the site on 5.1.5 with the layout working and a backup of our production site prior to 6.1.2. This is a pretty important area of our site and is pretty high profile internally.

I attempted to import the layout template exported from 5.1.5, but even though Pro showed a success message the template was not imported. I had a template saved of a prior version that I was able to apply, but it is missing some of the updates for conditional fields.

Pro/Cornerstone seems to store its data in a very fragile way. I’ve seen many other users have similar issues with pages and layouts that “lose” all the work after updating or randomly over time.

I was able to restore the functionality of the layout. I had to rebuild from an earlier version saved as a template. Major PITA!

Sorry, didn’t know editing is considered a bump. This was a time-sensitive issue for our website.
