Sidebar widget causing footers to move to right side of page

Hi folks,

I don’t know why, but all of a sudden my footers have moved to the right side.
I’m using X-Child and Ethos.
When I select Layout-full width, my Widget sidebar disappears.
When I select Layout-SIdebar Left, Content right, All of the footers move right and the content and sidebar now are only able to use about half the width of the page.
Any ideas?

Thanks for writing in! To isolate your issue, first try disabling your child theme and see if your child theme customizations are causing this issue. You can head over to Appearance -> Themes section and enable your parent X theme to disable your child theme.

If you’re still having issues, then you need to disable your 3rd party plugins except Cornerstone plugin to see which plugins are causing this issue. If the issue resolved, then you can activate your plugins one by one to see which plugin causing the issue.

For further testing, you can also remove any of your custom CSS rules added to your site (X -> Theme Options -> CSS) to isolate your issue.

When testing, make sure to clear all cache by following this resource (https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-wordpress/).

Thanks for the response,

I activated the X theme and de-activated the Child. It appears normal now… without the Child customizations.

I’m definitely an amateur at this. My Child customizations were with the help of you great people. But I’m not sure I’ll recognize the error if I see it.

I can post my log in info if that will help,

I’ve switched to child theme then added the test page but couldn’t replicate the issue:

I’ve also checked the functions.php file in your child theme. All the codes look good.

I’m not sure why it’s working correctly now… but it seems to be.
Somehow switching to Parent then back to Child now has it working correctly… maybe some sort of bug?
