Sidebar pushed to the bottom of page (including Homepage) and footer appears to RIGHT of sidebar

On my homepage and 1 other, the sidebar is pushed far to the bottom, below all other content… The other 17 pages appear to work normally.

AND to further confuse me, if I turn on the footer, the footer appears to the RIGHT of the SIDEBAR, NOT at the bottom… But again, that appears to happen on ONLY the 2 affected pages (but one is my homepage, so not too happy about the situation since I cannot turn on the footer…)

I’ve done all the troubleshooting I can… Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank You

The potential cause of the is are broken HTML code. I checked your pages and there are several of them.

Please check your content for broken HTML.

The other potential cause is HTML minification and I see that also in your site.

Please disable the minification after you have checked for broken HTML.

Ok, but wondering why I have broken code when I don’t know how to code… How did it get broken?

I know how to use validator.w3.org to find the errors, but what I don’t know is how to find the errors in the theme html to correct them… Such as “From line 27, column 16411; to line 27, column 16416”, etc. Is there an article or post somewhere that I can find this info. Can’t seem to find it in a google search.

When I didn’t do any coding, why do I need to learn coding to fix errors with the theme…? I also updated the theme to Pro but didn’t make any difference…

And there are errors that really don’t seem like anything I could have done, such as:

You need to check each element in your page and see if there are any missing html tags.

I can also see that you have comet cache installed, can you try clearing comet plugin cache and check again.

I cleared comet cache - no effect (and tried disabling it just to see).

Hi again,

I did some deep testing and it was the All In One Schema Rich Snippets plugin that was causing the trouble. I deactivated the plugin and sidebar was back to it’s normal position.

I am activating the plugin again so you can check it’s settings and try fixing the issue or you can disable the plugin.

Spectacular! Yes, that did it. That plugin has options to use for posts and pages. I use for all the posts, but it looks like I also used it on those 2 pages. Turned it off for those pages and all is good again.

Sorry to waste your time on what turned out to be a plug-in issue, but not only did you find that solution, you also showed me how to fix my site’s html errors using the theme’s tools - which will hopefully prevent my needing to seek your assistance for other issues in the future!
