Sidebar missing (main sidebar)

Dear,

My sidebar went missing. I have configure the renew stack to show content left, sidebar right. I’ve created a separate sidebar for my woocommerce, but now the default sidebar is not showing on the blog.

The sidebar space is reserved it appears, but none of the widgets from “Main Sidebar” are displaying.

Could you please check what went wrong?

Thank you for writing in, and for the credentials but it did not work. Do you mean you lose the “Main Sidebar” itself? or the Widgets inside it?

Have you already check it on the Inactive Widgets list?

This usually happens when you switch to a different theme, you can drag back those Inactive Widgets to your “Main Sidebar”.

If that did not work, please do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

No, I haven’t installed any new plugins and it’s working fine on my staging site. It’s also not related to the inactive widget area. Let me send you the updated credentials and a screenshot

Thanks for updating in!

I have logged in and checked your sidebars. Actually it is not missing. It just happen that you created a blog sidebar and assigned it to display in the Community or blog index page.

You forgot to insert any widgets in the blog sidebar which is why it is not displaying anything in the blog index.

Please go to Appearance > Widgets, find the Blog widget area and add some widgets in it.

This party solved the problem. The main sidebar is now display on the post pages (individual blog posts) but the main sidebar is still not displaying on the post archive pages. This is just an empty sidebar. I have tried adding widgets to the blog sidebar, and also this sidebar is not displaying.

But in fact, I do not need this sidebar. Just the main sidebar (for all blog related pages) and the shop sidebar (for all woocommerce related pages).

Could you verify again what went wrong?

Hi @yvescleeren,

As Ruenel said, you created a custom sidebar called Blog and assigned it to your blog. The custom blog is a one than the main sidebar, hence, if you wish to display the main sidebar to the blog page then you can simply delete that custom blog sidebar.
