Sidebar menu that collapses to hide subpages

Is there a way to have menus in sidebar widgets hide subpages? Then if you are on a parent page that has children, those children will display in the sidebar menu, and likewise if you are on one of the children as well.
I have lots of children and if I have them all displaying as they do by default, it’s just too long a menu.

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully all the widgets available in WordPress and in the theme does not include what you have in mind. Perhaps a 3rd party plugin could help you with your idea.
