Side Matter plugin

Do you have experience of using the Side Matter plugin with the X Theme? The notes appear in the side bar, but are not numbered, and do not align with their position in the text.

As Side Matter is a third party plugin it difficult for us to comment on the working of the same. I checked the the plugin page on WordPress.org and it seems that the plugin has not been updated since 3 major releases of WordPress. More so it’s been 4 yrs and developer hasn’t updated the plugin, so there is always a question mark on the compatibility and working of a outdated plugin codes. https://cl.ly/2G410X3u3G43

However, you can add following CSS code under X > Theme Options > CSS to fix the alignment:

.footnote_plugin_link {
    display: none;
}

.footnote_plugin_text {
    padding-left: 0;
}

.footnote_plugin_index {
    display: none;
}

Please note that we won’t be able to support any issues arising because of 3rd party plugin and the functioning of plugin is not in our control. The code I gave you is personal input to help you get started and it’s not a Themeco official advice.

Thanks. I have decided to use a plugin that is better supported. This one seems to work. Loving the x theme!
