Showing the correct sidebar

Hi,
For some reason all of the posts are showing the widget called “main sidebar” in the sidebar, whereas I want the posts to show the sidebar called “Categories Sidebar.” I’ve defined this as the Main Sidebar, but still for some reason it doesn’t work. Can you help me out?

I checked your website and can confirm the sidebar issue that’s mentioned in the ticket. However, there seems to be some issues with the assignment of pages under Appearance > Sidebar. I made few assignments (have rolled back the changes) and Categories sidebar (main sidebar) widgets started showing up.

Thanks. Can you clarify what you did and what you reccomend I do? Is there a way for me to avoid marking all of the pages? I thought the main sidebar would be defined as the default.

Hi @alonmg,

That’s a custom sidebar and you only named it as main sidebar. The main sidebar is what’s in Admin > Appearance > Widgets. And since it’s a custom sidebar, you’ll have to assign it manually ELSE, it will display the main sidebar in Admin > Appearance > Widgets.
