Showing fields based on condition

Hi,

Started playing with Pro 4 today, awesome stuff! I am wondering how to show a field I created with Toolset based on whether it is empty or not? I do not see the option in Layouts - Conditions.

The example I use is I have many “Artist” posts and I have fields for their socials but not all have a Twitter account for example. How can I hide those icons/fields on the frontend?

Thanks

Hi @wowflak,

The condition attribute is only available for the elements. What I can assume that you are expecting that in Artist post type posts, and regretfully, condition is not available for it.

Still, if you want to add the condition for this, I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where the customization questions are answered.

Thanks

Hi, sorry if I was not clear but I am talking about an element. The Social Element. I want to use that and dynamically feed a field to it, which I have done - but now I want to hide that element if the field is empty.

Hello @wowflak,

Regretfully custom meta and ACF fields are not part of the conditions. This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.

Thanks!

Okay, it would be a great feature and would really eliminate the need for other plugins.

Thanks

Agreed, the ability to affect a condition based on a custom field would be an invaluable feature!

Hi @wowflak and @dgoldwas,

Yes, it’s a great feature and my colleague has already submitted a ticket to our tracker so that everyone in the team can see and discuss the new feature request.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
