Show updated date not published date on homepage blog page

Looked at a few posts on the forums but haven’t been able to get the answer I’m looking for. I want to show the data the blog posts are updated rather than the published date.

I’m more specifically talking about the date that shows when using the slider at the top of the homepage. I’m currently using the Ethos version.

Thanks for reaching out.
Regretfully, currently, there is no such option to show the Updated or Modified date of the post in the Ethos post slider. What you are trying to achieve is a part of the customization and beyond the scope of our support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where the customization questions are answered.

This is one of the forum posts I was looking at that has a couple strings of code - is there anything here that might be able to help me?

As stated earlier that, answering on the customized code is beyond the scope of theme support, we strongly discourage modifying the core theme files.
The code given in the reference thread has given based on the site specified there, it may not work in your case.
