Show sections/content based on cookies

Hi,

Do you support any possibility to show content (e.g. a topbar row) based on cookies?
Which means, this row will be visible to the user as long as he did not click on a closing-icon within this row.
As soon as he clicks this closing-icon, this will be saved within a cookie and this row/section is not visible anymore for this user unless he deletes his browser’s cache.
A similar example could be found at: https://cookieconsent.insites.com/

Is there another possibility without using cookies as well?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @airdelicious,

Thanks for writing in.

We would love to help you regarding this concern however it is beyond the scope of our support. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

Thanks for understanding.

Does this mean that X doesn’t offer or support a standard out-of-the-box solution for this?
I think this is a quite common feature/behaviour.
Can’t you even give any advice, how to implement this?
What are the numerous possibilities you speak of?
I don’t expect a worked-out solution.
But X unfortunately, doesn’t support a lot of things (not even dual sidebars).
Therefore it should not always be the case, that I need an additional developer for quite simple things.

Hi There,

You could do that with a pop-up using one of our addons ConvertPlus

This is what this plugin would allow you to do and it has the feature you are looking for.

Besides that, what you are requesting is not so simple, so yes you would need help from a developer or research yourself, but I believe with creativity you can achieve what you looking for what ConvertPlus

Hope that helps!
