Show latest post in full on home page

Is there a way to show the latest post from a single category on the home page? Also to show the full post.

Thanks for writing in! To display the latest post from a single category, please edit your homepage and insert a “Classic Recent Posts” element. You can supply a specific category in the element options.

Yes, there is also a way for it in visual composer.

You can display the latest post by adding a “Recent Posts” element in Visual Composer. Here’s a screenshot below.

You can set it’s setting to display only the selected category. Here’s another screenshot for it.
