Show basket menu item on mobile screens

Hi,

Currently the woocommerce basket appears after the header menu which is fine on Desktop.

But when the screen size reduces so the mobile menu appears the Basket icon also disappears from the header and becomes the last menu item in the mobile menu.

I would like to change this so the basket is always visible in the header.

I can approach this with a child theme, custom header.php and some new styling but is there any way the XTheme can easily allow this… even if the main header layout changes. The priority is to show the basket in the header at all time on all screen sizes.

Hey Chris,

There’s is no option for this in X. The easy way is to upgrade to Pro and use the Cart elements. One of the reasons Pro was created is also because of user requests for X Header changes. Pro allowed our users to have flexibility creating a custom header.

Hi

Is there an upgrade path to pro? Does it lose any design elements when changing?

Does it need a compete new license (effectively a complete new theme) or is there an upgrade option from current X theme.

I have seen the option on https://theme.co/apex/licenses - “go pro free” but im reluctant to just click and update without more detail of the potential impact.

Can i test this only on the staging version if i “go pro free” via this page - https://theme.co/apex/licenses

Hello @BaysKitchen,

When you upgrade to Pro theme, all the X theme settings will be inherited and stay the same with the addition of the custom header and footer builder. Those pages design in Cornerstone will also stay the same and can be edited with Pro editor.

Actually once you upgrade to Pro theme, you will have to install Pro theme and activate it. Validating the Pro theme will need a new license which will appear above the X theme license code:

And yes, you can always use the license code in your staging site. Just make sure to assign the staging site url to your license code.
