Shortcodes to pull author's name and gravatar url

Hello Themeco.

Are there shortcodes I can use to pull both post author gravatar photo and post author name? I don’t seem to find any.

Hi Barry,

There is no built-in shortcode available on our time to retrieve that info. But you can use the Dynamic Content feature to achieve a somewhat similar thing:

For the author’s name, you can use the text element and for the user image, you can use the image element. The video below will give you an idea on how to do so: (You do not need to add global block necessarily)

For your case scenario, I think User Display Name and User Gravatar URL should do the trick:

User Display Name and User Gravatar URL

Only shows the name of the user when he or she is logged in to WordPress.

I will use custom fields instead.
