Shortcodes inside form inputs

Hello,

Can you take a shortcode and put it inside a form input value ? Will the theme support that or is this wordpress that would (or would not ) support it?

Eg. Trying to save an ip address into a shortcode (which i’ve done) called [display_ip] but how do i use the same shortcode into a forums hidden input value.
