Shortcode storage to HTML storage - swtiching classic elements to V2 and Yoast

Hi there

Earlier this year, we asked about using the Yoast SEO plugin. We were informed that to do so we needed to change from using Shortcode storage to HTML storage. Last week we made this change.

Another change we are working on separately is upgrading Cornerstone content from using classic elements to V2 elements.

This week we plan on installing Yoast on our staging site to test it.

We want to ask two questions at this point:

  1. Is the fact that we are using both Classic and V2 elements have any relevance to using Yoast?

  2. Are there any common issues to be aware of when using Yoast?

We are using Theme X Version: 10.7.10 and Cornerstone

Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for reaching out.

  1. There shouldn’t be an issue even if you’re using both Classic and V2 elements, I see you have already converted the content storage so you should be fine.
  2. As of now, I’m not aware of any known issues so you can use the Yoast plugin safely.

However make sure to keep backups of your site if you run into any issue.

Thanks!
