Shipping Address Empty

Hello,

My checkout allows for a shipping address, and for my account I have both saved. When I visit checkout the Shipping details are blank.

And yet they are stored on my profile:

Sometimes the only screenshot doesn’t help us to recognize the issue you are having. We need to examine your site to determine the cause of the issue. Can you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

OK done that. I’ve also disabled all but the minimum plugins.

Here’s a test approach.

1. Login
2. Save a billing address in your user profile, and a different shipping address
3. Visit the shop and add something
4. Checkout
5. Click " DELIVER TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS?"
6. Check to see if the page has picked up your saved shipping address

The reason this is odd, is that Apple Pay is failing when it can’t find a shipping address, which might be related.

Hello Bill,

When you uncheck the “DELIVER TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS?” option, the saved shipping delivery information will be used for the order. When it is selected, the user is provided with an empty Shipping Delivery form so that the user can input a new shipping delivery address other than the saved shipping information.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for the explanation but I think this is confusing user-experience. My users are old, and they would expect those fields to display any saved shipping address - it makes sense.

How can I (or you) modify that layout to do this?

Hi Bill,

The option DELIVER TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS? is provided to get a different address. So, whenever the option is selected, it shows blank fields to get input. If you want to show a saved shipping address even if that option is checked, you need to customize the WooCommerce templates as per your requirements. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you in doing the customization.
