Share widget showing up in article summary

My share widget is showing up in my article summary.

Thanks for writing in! Are you using a shortcode for your share widget? If that is the case, you will have to insert manual excerpts. Manual Excerpts are optional hand-crafted summaries of your content that can be used in your theme. Learn more about manual excerpts..

I simply turned off the post excerpts.

Anyway to increase the size the featured image appears in this view:

That way the image can increase people’s chances of clicking and reading. Please let me know.

This is working now. But I just noticed that my Facebook share information is picking up from the featured image of the theme instead of the yoast SEO plugin. Anyway to set this so that Yoast open graph information is picked up instead of the featured image of the theme?

Hey There,

The OG information being used in Facebook is coming from Yoast SEO plugin. Please see the image below:

Yoast SEO plugin picks up the featured image of the post. It will only use the Yoast SEO default images when there is no featured image present in your post/page.

Ah got it. Replaced the featured image with my pinterest/FB graphics. Looks like Yoast is sending the custom twitter image through though. Not using a featured image for that.

That actually might be the case. Unfortunately, we are not the experts of the Yoast plugins ins and outs and if you have additional questions regarding the plugin you will need to contact their support.
