Settings in Cornerstone

Hi,

in Cornerstone > Settings > Permission there are many possibilities to enable or disable modules under General, Elements and Classic Elements.

Does this also have a positive effect on loading times for Google when I disable some things there?

Hello @michaelxxx,

Thanks for writing to us.

In case you are not using the element inside the page content, it won’t load the Markup, JS, and its style on the frontend so it will not impact page load time until you add the element.

In case you are optimizing the site speed please note website speed performance depends upon many factors for example.

  1. Choose a better web hosting provider
  2. Reduce image sizes
  3. Minify JS and CSS files
  4. Use advanced caching mechanisms with a caching plugin
  5. Use a CDN
  6. Cleanup WordPress database etc.

You may check our doc to learn more about how to improve website performance.

Hope it helps
Thanks
