Set Post Featured Image In Pro Builder

The pro builder is great but I don’t see where to set the featured image for that post when editing it in the Pro builder. Where is that?

I see you can still set it in the edit post Wordpress wp-admin area but that would be a terrible design to have to leave the pro editor to set the featured image when you can do everything else inside the builder.

If for some reason a featured image doesn’t have an upload in the Pro builder, when will that be available? Seem very important for a user experience. Also, is there a work around to set the featured image automatically from an image added to the post from the Pro builder?

Hello @allcal,

Thanks for writing to us.

Post Featured Image is the core features of WordPress, you can not set the Featured Image from the Pro builder. The Pro builder is a content builder and it only works on the Page and Posts content because of that you are not able to set the Featured Image from the Pro builder. Since you are using the Pro builder you have an option of layout builder you can use the Image element and style your Posts content as per your design.

Regretfully, there is no option to set the Featured Image automatically from the builder.

Thanks for understanding

Ok. So is it possible to build posts in Pro builder and then make a page that the use dynamic content builder that displays the content that was created in Pro builder (image or text)? Or would you have to create the page in pro, then leave back to the wp-admin edit page to fill in a featured image and/or custom fields?

Hi @allcal,

For now, there are a few WordPress core options available in the Content Builder of Pro for the posts, and featured image is not among those. So you need to add that from WordPress default editor. Please remember that the content added through the default editor or Gutenberg is not editable in the builder, and vice-versa.

Thanks
