Set cursor jumping anchor links

Hey there,

i’m familiar with set up anchor links. So i added a id to a headline and want to anchor that one in my menu. So far so good but i need the cursor to jump exactly to the anchored headline (because of barrier free reasons).

Here a example Link, H1 has the ID #information

Any idea how to set that up?

Thanks for reaching out.

There will be no jumping since the headline is already on the very top of the page. Would you mind providing more information of what you’re trying to achieve? Like where should be the jumping happens?

Thanks for the fast answer Rad! This page should get barrier free for handicapped people, so one asked if its possible to move the mouse cursor automaticly to the first heading of the page - that would make it more easy for them to use the site. So i thought an anchor would help…

Hi Pierre,

I’m not sure if I understand it correctly, the focus is already on the first heading of the page once it’s loaded. But that is I assume what you mean by cursor is focus, else, please provide a sample site or perhaps an article discussing about this cursor.

yes the focus is on the headline but is it possible to move the cursor to the headline?

Hi Pierre,

Ah, you mean mouse cursor? That’s not possible since it’s hardware specific. But if you’re referring to focus()'s then it’s only possible with text input and not on standard texts like headline. Unfortunately, there is no workaround at this moment.
