Set Condition to Hide Content that has Already Been Viewed that Day

How do I create a conditional header element that is only seen when someone initially visits the site that day? With the new update on conditions, I imagine that this is doable (love all the new features BTW).

Basically… I have a hero slider on my homepage that I want to essentially act as a ‘landing page’, but once someone has viewed it once (that day), if they navigate away from the page, I would like it to be hidden if they return to the home page.

I’m figuring there are two ways to tackle this, but I can’t figure out either one.

Option 1: Create a conditional landing page for first-time visitors that day.

Option 2: Create a show/hide condition on the specific elements (in this case… the header bar containing the slider) that I want to be hidden after the initial view.

I would also like it to be hidden for any ‘logged in’ users… but I’m pretty sure I know how to do that in the conditions setting already.

Thanks for creating such an amazing theme!

Hi @fletcher_austin,

Thanks for reaching out.

This is not doable with the current header conditions we have and this idea would fall under customization. Regretfully, customization is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
