Select smaller image size in Cornerstone

Hello,

when I use the Cornerstone page builder and I want to insert an image element, I can only select the original size of an image. However, very often I only want to insert a smaller version of the image, which is always generated automatically by WordPress.

When I use the “normal” media selector, which appears when I use the normal page editor, without Cornerstone, I can select the size in the lower right corner:

When using Cornerstone and inserting either an Image element or Classic Image element, I don’t get this option. It’s just missing there:

Is there a way, to select smaller thumbnail sizes of images within the Cornerstone page builder, just like in the normal editor?

Hello @Muller,

Thank you for the very detailed post information. Please be advised that the image element and the classic image element in Cornerstone will let you insert the full image. The media selector will not allow you to insert any smaller or cropped version of the image. What you can do is to insert the url of the cropped image instead which you can get it manually from the media section in a normal editor.

We’ve added this, having to insert a smaller/ cropped image in the element, as a feature request so it can be taken into consideration for future development.

Thank you for your understanding.
