See wp article content zone from CS

Hi Themeco Team,

i have a difficulty to find how to display the “content area” of a wordpress article from cornerstone.

as expected i can see article in the left sidebar as elements of the site… but i need to build a single layout who manage the design and element of my WP article display. i know how to that.

But as far as i remember, its possible in that type of single layout to define “an area” as “the content” who display what is inside a wp article (wrote from the the WP editor)

Can you remember me if it exist a cornerstone element or shortcode to define in the WP editor to get that “content” area inside a single layout (for instance).

( i already do that on a CS website that i build in 2022 but i can’t access it from now)

Thanks for your help

Ps : on the screenshot of the WP article editor i have a theme elements name" Contenu" (content) but WP says “the block cannot be insert in the article”
PS2 : i use Theme Pro

Hi Florian,

Regretfully, the content added through the Block or Gutenberg editor is not editable in the Cornerstone editor, and vice-versa. That’s why the content is not showing in the Cornerstone.

Thanks

Hi @tristup

Are you sure about that ?

Do you mean there is no way to design a single layout for articles, assign it with a condition “post type is articles” and add a “content zone” who catch the content from an article page ?

it sounds like… a basic feature of a theme

Do you mean all articles should be create via cornerstone ? even for the content of article ?

I’am pretty sure that i already used a cornerstone shortcode like [cs_content=‘13’][/cs_content] for instance, and put some rough HTML content between “] [” from gutemberg editor to be able to see the zone and the content inside of cornerstone UI.

Otherwise, what is the usual way to design a single layout and assign it to Articles to get design and content in front-end ? i can’t see it…

Thanks

Thank you for the update. Have you tried adding the The Content element in your Single Layout?

This should retrieve the content of the posts, including those built using the block editor.

hi @Ismael

thanks for your reply
In fact, that’s what i was looking for ! i can’t find it via searching element in a page or article, but that element is well available in “single layout” workspace tab.

thank you very much !

You’re welcome! Let us know if you have more questions. Have a nice day.
