Hey there!
On the site https://civilizationemerging.com/ as soon as the site loads, in Chrome, I get an error saying the HTTPS connection might not be secure.
It seems fine on posts, but any of the three main pages (blog, media, about) all have the error.
Is this a Theme issue of some sort?

I could not replicate the issue on my end on Chrome your site loads without any errors.
Please clean your browser cache and test it again.
It is possible this error is caused because some of your images are loaded as :
http://civilizationemerging.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Daniel-4-300x300.jpg
While they should be loaded as
https://civilizationemerging.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Daniel-4-300x300.jpg
