I’m trying to use a video background in a section as a hero.

I’d like to avoid using Slider Rev and wondering if there’s a way to achieve a looping video bg for section without using Slider Rev.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! The video background will only accept a direct video file so you will need to upload the video in the media right in your WP dashboard. Please make sure that you are uploading *.mp4, *.ogv or *.webm because these are the only format that is cross browser compatible. The video should be playing in loop as the video background. And by the way, do not forget to set a minimum height for the column even if it is empty so that that your section can serve as a hero.

I’ve uploaded the video as .webm but I’m not sure how to actually place the video as the bg

Hi,

You can add it as video Source. Make sure to check on advanced mode

You can get your video url from media library.
