Section separator not visible

Hi,

In one of my X theme and Cornerstone installation, I cannot see the Top and Bottom separator for the section. I have the latest version of the X (5.1.1) and Cornerstone (2.0.6) running Wordpress 4.8.1.

Any pointers?

Hi there,

Please kindly make sure that there is no other instance of the Cornerstone installed in plugins menu of your Wordpress dashboard.

Also kindly check for possible 3rd party plugin conflict by deactivating each plugin and checking the result in Cornerstone.

For further assistance, we will need to have the URL/User/Pass of your website given using the Secure Note functionality of the theme. Thank you for your understanding.

I deactivated all plugins except Cornerstone and Under construction. Still the same problem. The options for top and bottom separator is not visible.

Hi There,

Please flush your cache and turn off all 3rd party plugins, specially performance and cache plugins.

Delete Cornerstoen

Access Wp Admin | X so Cornerstone gets re-install it.

Test it before re-activing the plugins.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you

I have done that. Still the same problem.

In that case, please clear all caches again and deactivate all third party plugins so we could check what is wrong with Cornerstone. If that could not be done in your live site, please clone your site to a staging server and give us staging access. I know you’ve already tried these things but we to investigate freely without interference from third party plugins especially optimizations. Minification could break things and I see combined and minified resources and also your HTML.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have tried everything that has been suggested -

  1. Cleared all cache
  2. Deactivated all plugin except Cornerstone and tested with still the same result
  3. Deactivated and deleted Cornerstone
  4. Visited X menu to auto install the Cornerstone again
  5. Created a new page to edit in Cornerstone
  6. Still can’t see the top and bottom separator option under Section

Any other pointers would be appreciated as the site is a little bit too big to create a staging area at the moment due to time factor.

Thanks.

Please remove all custom CSS, JS, functions and templates or switch to the parent theme then check again. If it still doesn’t help, try completely removing W3 Total Cache. See http://redstarwebdevelopment.com/2013/05/how-to-remove-w3-total-cache/ to learn how or contact W3 Total Cache support.

Thanks.
