I’m trying to get the background video of a column or section to COVER.
It’s currently just contained which looks terrible.
I’ve tried reinstalling wordpress and the theme and even deleting and starting everything again.

Unfortunately, with your design, it is possible with customization but it would be tricky and outside the scope of our support. The issue is, the video will be stretched. By default, if the background is a video, it will be 100% of the width. To achieve what you want, either change the video aspect ratio. Unlike images where we can stretch it to cover an entire container, it is not recommended on video because the result is not ideal when it is stretch. We can stretch it but it will still follow the aspect ratio of the video. That means it will only increase the black bar on top and below the video.
