I cant get the advance back round to work on my site. I used to be able to add an image here,

Same here.

I used to have the advanced options where I would have a low opacity pattern overlaying the background color.

Ok after doing a lot of searching, here’s the answer -

Thanks for posting in! You are experiencing because we have introduced Advance mode in the latest release and by default, it is not showing up. To display the advance mode again, please go to X > Settings > Permissions > User Preferrences and set the Advance Mode to “Always On”.
