Search results show body text AND tags

Hello

on the site http://www.motherculture.love I am running into some issues with the search function

right now my searches only work if the text is written in body text, if the post has the search term in a tag it will not show up in search results

for example

Trances

The above page is tagged with ‘covey gong’ however if you search for ‘covey gong’ through the site’s search bar no posts are displayed

How can I make it so that searches also return posts tagged with the relevant search term?

Hi Jared,

Thank you for reaching out to us, It’s the default behavior of WordPress searching. To modify the search functionality You’d have to do some modification to the generated SQL query via filters: posts_search, posts_join, posts_where.

Or you can just use the plugin WP Extended Search, you just need to enable Tags for searching in the plugin’s settings (see screenshot)

Please note that we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
