Search results do not return pages that should be returned

Hi there

As mentioned previously we have 465 bowling clubs around the country. There is a dedicated page for each club and each club is linked to the Store Locator by lat/longitude and the page’s URL on the site. A person needs to be on the PLAY BOWLS page of the site to find a club.

However, if a person is looking for a club by using the general site search tool (magnifying glass) - if they type in the name of a New Zealand town, e.g. Hokitika as per this screenshot

The results that come back from this search are:

There should be a result that says HOKITIKA BOWLING CLUB as there is a page dedicated to them. Their page here ( Hokitika Bowling Club | Bowls New Zealand Aotearoa)

Can someone please help us to understand what we need to do to get the club pages showing the search results?

Hey Julie,

WordPress has its own search engine and the result that you see is returned by WordPress not the theme. You will need a search plugin or custom code to modify the search engine of WordPress. That would be beyond the scope of our support to discuss though. If you want to discuss this, you can subscribe to our One Single Platform support.
