I’ve attempted the suggestions to fix the masonry bug with these instructions:

I’ve uploaded and made the second set of edits requested but my results = a first page with no images and the rest of the pages have the same huge images that the first page used to have.

This is for an online store and search is now a requirement of the owner. Can you assist to have some store like display on the search results page?

Thanks for reaching out.

It seems to be working, the only problem now is the content which breaks the layout. And it’s due to the grid added in it. Please try adding excerpt to your pages and post, and please check this as a sample https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/add-excerpts-to-your-pages-in-wordpress/

Please don’t follow anything below Displaying Excerpts for Pages in WordPress since it’s already being displayed by the theme. You only need to add your excerpt.

Thank you Rad - these are woocommerce products for the most part - are there excerpts for those required (we have 400+) that would require aLOT of updating to have a X search function to work for our X woocommerce shop. Is there an easier way?

The page is not displaying the masonry grid selected in the blog section, it’s huge full width images with broken code down the side. Sorry - I’m a little lost. We’re looking for a masonry grid, 3 or 4 column width of search results please.

Perhaps you might want to disable excerpts for results page? Current search is meant for posts and pages.

Other options is to use similar plugin such as this https://wordpress.org/plugins/smart-woocommerce-search/
Note that the plugin is not an bundled plugin.
