Search Placeholder (Header Pro) display issue

Hi, Guys and best 2021 New Year’s wishes!

After updating our 3.2.3 Pro theme version towards the new 4.x, some serious issues (crashed website, random distorted images and texts, &c.) forced us to urgently uninstall and downgrade it to the previous stable 3.2.3 version.

Nevertheless, after purging all caches and optimizing our website + database, an annoying and incomprehensible anomaly still affects the Search Placeholder display (see screenshot below), since the “Recherche…” font size + the red flashing bar on the left are now 75% smaller than before, and do not even react to any setup modification nor CSS code.

Consequently, your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for writing to us.

It is always a good practice to purge all the cache when you update the theme or plugin to render the updated code. I would suggest you have a backup of your files and database when you update any theme or plugin or WordPress.

For the search placeholder text font-size you need to go to element Search—>Input Text Format–Font Size. You can set the placeholder font-size from here.

Hi Victor,

I tried the same and set the Font Size, as suggested by my colleague in the last post and it worked perfectly. Please find the video describing the options and settings.

If that does not help, can you please share the login of your site to check the settings you have made? Please add the following details

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Specific Header where you are having this Search Modal.
– WordPress Admin username/password

Hi Tristup,

Many thanks for your goodwill and crystal clear video, that got me thinking about a recent temporary admin access granted to a third party plug-in developer, precisely contacted following the serious issues (crashed website, all pages disappearing from the /pro/#/content section, random distorted images, texts and headers, &c.) encountered after the Pro 4.x upgrade.

So, after carefully checking our customize CSS, it appeared that the developer in question has altered our website parameters without notice…

That said, this problem is now fixed – hoping it will be likewise for the Pro 4.x issues.
