Search overlay - close button

Hi,

The user can close the search overlay by clicking on anywhere other than the input field. This is bad UX design.

Instead we wish to add a close button to the search overlay and prevent the user from closing the search overlay by clicking anywhere else.

How could we do this please?

Thanks for reaching out.
Regretfully, there is no such option to do what you are expecting. It required customization and that is beyond the scope of theme support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where the customization questions are answered.
