Search modal unable to search site

On the home page, I was hoping users could use the search modal to search by school name to find their director, but it is not working as planned. Any suggestions to make it work?

Thanks in advance.

Hey @Suzanne,

The Search Modal is only an interface. The search engine out of the box is powered by WordPress itself. If you need an advanced search engine, you will need to use a search plugin like Relavanssi or SearchWP. You will also want to look at faceted search plugins like FacetWP. To know what’s best for your site, I recommend that you hire a website consultant.

Thanks.
