Hi,
On this site http://thepolicememorialtrust.org/ is there a way to stop the search opening in a massive screen? Instead it would be good to have a small search bar?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi there,
If you are using the original header, it could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
But as I have checked, you are using Pro so you might want to consider using the Header Builder as it would be a lot easier to implement without any custom code.
Here are the steps you can take to add a search box to the header area using the Header Builder:
Go to Appearance > Sidebar and create a new sidebar
Go to Appearance > Widgets and add a Search widget to the sidebar you created
Go to the header builder and add a Widget Area element and select the search sidebar you created in the first step
The result should look something like this:
Hope this helps.
Many thanks Jade,
Could you help with one more thing? I was looking for the theme’s images folder as specified in this post for adding a search toggle but I’m not sure where it is? I’m using the Pro Child theme
Hi,
Hi,
You can create an images folder in your child theme.
eg. wp-content/themes/pro-child/images
You can then use this url to get your image.
https://blissfulbabybirthing.boomfly.co.uk/wp-content/themes/pro-child/images
If you have uploaded search-icon.png
the url will be
https://blissfulbabybirthing.boomfly.co.uk/wp-content/themes/pro-child/images/search-icon.png
Hope that helps
