Search icon in navbar menu no longer working after upgrade

Hey all…

Okay, I never post in forums like this, but I figured I give this a shot.

I recently upgraded from version 4 to the latest iteration in 6 and now there are some conflicts. I’m an engineer, but am thinking before I dive too deep into this issue that I would ask around.

The one thing is that the blog is incredibly popular, so I’m trying to not break any of the functionality since it gets so many users per day. But I’m just wondering if anyone could take a look or if anyone else has experienced something like this before, I’d love some feedback.

Not sure if I can post URL here or that should be done privately, but happy to drop the link if someone needs to look at it.

Hi Robert,

Could you please try turning off the auto minify scripts option in your cloudflare account?

That didn’t work…

Are there specific files that should not be minified (CSS or JS)?

As you know, minification is important for website speed and the resultant user experience, especially at my site’s traffic level

Hi There,

below is the list of file which shouldn’t be minified.

  1. wp-content/themes/x/framework/js/dist/site/x-body.min.js
  2. wp-content/themes/x/framework/js/dist/site/x-head.min.js?
  3. wp-content/themes/x/framework/js/dist/site/x-icon.min.js
  4. wp-content/themes/x/framework/legacy/cranium/js/dist/site/x-body.min.js
  5. wp-content/themes/x/framework/legacy/cranium/js/dist/site/x-head.min.js
    Also here is the list of the JS files of the Cornerstone which should be excluded:
  6. wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/assets/dist/js/site/cs-body.js
  7. wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/assets/dist/js/site/cs-head.js

All Minification is turned off and cache is cleared from site and cloudflare and still having problems. Could you please review the URL: wanderlustworker.com

Could you please purge all the cache and check in the incognito mode again?
