Search function doesn't work consistently

Hi there,

In the navbar of my site I have a search option available, however it doesn’t always function. Often when I click on it, nothing happens. Only every so often will the search field appear and can I search for things. That part works fine, the problem is the search field not showing up every time.

How can I fix this issue? Link and credidentials provided in secure note.

Hi Ka,

I checked the website and found out that if you click the red section around the magnifying glass icon it works, but if you click the icon itself it will not. The problem is not happening on my installation and the feature works even I click on the icon.

This shows there is a problem with your installation and I suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Please update the theme to version 7.2.2 and Cornerstone to 4.2.2.
• Change the theme from Child Theme to the Parent Theme and test.
• If you added any sort of CSS code into theme Options please remove the code and test to see if it fixes the problem.
• Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Hi!

Thank you so much for looking into it! I hadn’t realised that it worked when you clicked on the surrounding area and not when you clicked on the icon. I found some faulty css and that fixed the issue!
