I’d like to use the search element to look for a custom post types posts and filter “live on page” with ajax. Is this possible?

We don’t have any built-in Ajax filtering option. What you are trying to achieve is possible through customization. Regretfully, customization is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.
