The search seems only to return items in the blog or if the search item is actually in the title of the page. If the search term appears in any other pages it doesnt show them in results so this is really not a true site search.

is there a setting somewhere or something so that it shows all results?

Thanks for asking.

I checked the search functionality on my local X Theme setup and search function is returning the result for keywords that are there in content not just the title. However, you can use third party plugins for more options in search. Please take a look at following Google Search result.
