Scroll to anchor not working on Page Load

My site isnt working

The anchors work once the page is loaded, but on initial page load it just anchors to the top. I also see a strange glitch when it scrolls.

I have the latest version of X theme installed. 6.5.5

Please Help!

Hello John,

Thanks for writing in! You have installed the Smooth Scroll extension plugin. Could you please deactivate that plugin first and test the site again so that we can compare? I am seeing a JS error on the page by the way. The error might be causing this issue.

Please let us know how it goes.

I have disabled that plugin. It did not seem to fix it.

Hi John,

I did check your site, I see that the X – Smooth Scroll was not deactivated, I deactivated it now and that resolves the issue. Please update those X extensions since you already have updated your X and Cornerstone to the latest version.

To update the Extensions to the version that is supported by the theme:

- Deactivate and delete the extensions, from the plugins panel.
- On the X > Validation > Extensions locate and install the extensions that you need.
- Visit "Plugins" panel in your Dashboard to activate the newly installed version.

Because all of the plugin settings are stored in the database, and because version 2.x will migrate settings from older versions, its safe to use this method of deleting the previous version. But always keep a backup of your entire site just to be safe.
