Scroll Animation Bug Pro 5.1.3

Hi All,

I have just updated Pro from 5.0.8 to 5.1.3.

I have some scroll animations set up on my main website page that Slide In Right. I also have some other animations that Fade In Up.

These work as expected with 0ms delay.

I have some animations with a 500ms delay. It seems that any animations with even a small amount of delay don’t animate smoothly. The animation starts off ok but becomes uneven and stutters to the end, where it suddenly speeds up to the end.

Could someone take a look please.

The areas affected are:

Section 2 - Cell 2 & Cell 3
Section 6 - Cell 2, Cell 4 & Cell 6

I will send a secure note with website details and login details for you now.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found that the Scroll Animation is enabled for the Cell 2 and Cell 3 of Section 2 i.e. How does it work? and it works too. And also the animation worked on the section named My design process.
If that is not the case and you are trying to point out something else, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

Thanks

Hi @tristup,

Thanks for checking this.

The animations work but the effect is stuttering.

You can see this by comparing Cell 1, Cell 3 and Cell 5 in section 7 (this was section 6 but I have just added a new section).

If you look at the animation in Cell 1, Cell 3 and Cell 5, you’ll see that it is smooth.

If you then refresh the page and look at the animation in Cell 2, Cell 4 and Cell 6, you’ll see the animation is stuttering.

If you are having difficulties seeing this, please let me know and I will create a video.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I have checked and found that in most of the cases the Duration and the Delay values are different for these Cells where you are having the issues. For the Cell 3 in Section 2 I have modified the value and now it is working the same as others, I would suggest you adjust the same for others too.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi @tristup,

Unfortunately that didn’t work. I’m still seeing an issue.

I have removed the delay now which has fixed the issue.

Could you feed back to the development team this and ask them to investigate and look at implementing a fix for future release.

In Pro 5.0.8 the delay worked perfectly so I’m not sure what they have changed in the newer version.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for letting us look at this on your site. I’ve done some investigating here and can confirm there’s a bug regarding the animation delay. This has been corrected for a point release going live this afternoon. Please let us know after updating how things look on your end.

Hi @alexander,

Thank you so much! The latest update has fixed this issue.

Really appreciate all your help resolving this.

Thanks,

Chris
